The documentary was by far my favorited project this semester. I chose to do a documentary on the Alternative Spring Break trip I took with a group of students to NC to help work on houses that were ruined by a hurricane. This was a great opportunity for me to get the word out to students that this is an awesome experience and that everyone has fun while working. I was able to create DVD's for everyone that went on the trip and also various faculty/staff members wanted a copy to see everything that we did and to hopefully promote this trip for future experiences.
I feel that this video turned out very good. The only downside to my video was that when I was interviewing some of the students, it was quite windy so it is very hard to understand them at some points. I tried to put a filter in but it did not work very well. Having more experience in FCP helped me to use transitions and text better.
This was a very fun project!

Project #1 - The Promotion
The first project went quite well and turned out to be better than I expected. It was really hard to think of a promotion and a commercial to go along with the promotion. Working in a group was very difficult because with our schedules being very opposite it was hard to get everyone together at one time and to get a hold of everyone to shoot footage. I did a lot of the shooting & storyboarding, and Matt did most of the editing. It was nice that we worked together to accomplish this task. All-in-all I feel that our video turned out to be ok. I wish we would have brainstormed more to come up with a more creative promotion but this worked out well.
